Sir,

I have to report that Mr. Allen having completed a course at the Soho Mint, is now well acquainted with his duties.

I have to request to be informed, whether it is considered desirable, that he should attend at the Royal Mint for a period; I consider one month will be sufficient for the purpose; during which time I presume, he will be entitled to half pay.
